No credible atheist or scientist say they are 100 percent sure there is no god, just as they can not say there is no flying monsters from Saturn, but given the amount of evidence to the contrary we hold out little hope of a God.
But, having said that, we do not tell people they must believe in a personal God or face condemnation - since we have no proof of such a condition.

Some are led astray, they do but conjecture.
[010:036] And most of them follow nothing but conjecture. Certainly, conjecture can be of no avail against the truth. Surely, Allâh is All-Knower of what they do.
[010:037] And this Qur'ân is not such as could ever be produced by other than Allâh (Lord of the heavens and the earth), but it is a confirmation of (the Revelation) which was before it [i.e. the Taurât (Torah), and the Injîl (Gospel)], and a full explanation of the Book (i.e. the laws decreed for mankind) – wherein there is no doubt – from the Lord of the 'Ãlamîn (mankind, jinn, and all that exists).
[010:038] Or do they say: "He (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) has forged it?" Say: "Bring then a Sûrah (chapter) like it, and call upon whomsoever you can besides Allâh, if you are truthful!"
[010:039] Nay, they have denied the knowledge whereof they could not comprehend and what has not yet been fulfilled (i.e. their punishment). Thus those before them did deny. Then see what was the end of the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong doers)!

I've already answered this question, and I repeat myself: It is impossible to "know" anything without doubt, with total certainty. It is only an inflated ego that would drive someone to profess that they, ordinary person that they are, know the truth, and answer to the single most important question in man's history.
I am not so foolish as to answer this with a resounding yes, and yet I feel as though I am as certain as humanly possible that the truth I have found is the "ultimate" truth. That may not be 100%, but believe me, I would not risk my life on something I did not believe whole-heartedly.

Here's another.
Theists are certain about rejecting an awful lot of gods before they arrive at the one they want to follow. All an atheist does is go that extra step and get that one out of the picture too.

I am. The same reason that a Christian does not believe in Ra, Zeus, Allah, or Vishnu is the same reason I don't believe in God.

Right here. And we use the same logic to make that conclusion that you make to determine that Zeus doesn't exist.
