Your doctor is ruling out underlying conditions. I hope he/she continues to be this thorough.

Cold sweats could be heart, but could also be low blood sugar, diabetes or other conditions. ECG would be normal protocol to start ruling out heart.

Check out low blood sugar at www.hufa.org - especially the symptoms link. Do you have other symptoms that you felt were normal or unrelated?

How old are you? The decision might have been age dependent. For example if you are less than 25 this might not be that normal. However, if you are older than 30 it could be helpful to rule out heart disease. Does heart diseas run in your family?
