a wife should be under her husband's leadership as long as her opinions and feelings are valued as well.
but to be under your husband's control takes on a different meaning...its like you are saying that you are never heard and you cannot decide for yourself...

if and when you feel that your rights as a person and as a wife are being ignored or abused then that is when you can identify that there is a problem. Talk to your husband and tell him the things that bothers you.

be assertive and speak your mind, respect is something that you earn before it is given to you.

good luck and God bless.

no i dont when you got married you should have been equals from that day forward and even before that you are capable of making decisions the same he is and nobody should have leadership over another person because thats control and that is a form of abuse so you had better stop now because if you dont it will escalatr and you will never truly be happy living under someone elses LEADERSHIP

I don't think anyone should be under anyones control unless they are a child then they should be under their parents control....but a wife should definitely not be under her husbands control or "leadership" a marriage is suppose to be about love and commitment not losing your identity or your ability to think for herself.she should not have to abide by anyones rules but her own

No. Husbands and wives should be equals and always respect one another. You don't have to control someone to feel loved and respected. My husband and I respect each others boundaries on things. If he didn't want me doing something or vice versa, I would respect him and he would respect me. That is not control. It's love.

No, of course not. All women should be completely equal to their husbands. Men have no right to control their wives in any way.

No, I do NOT believe in this. Men and women get equal chances for education, so why should men always be in the lead for women to follow? Men and women should learn to treat one another with respect and equality. No one is superior.
