Both- If the girl isn't on birth control and doesn't want to be (for any reason0 than she might want to carry a condom with her. A guy should always have a condom on him if he is sexually active. If the girl ends up pregnant it is as much the guys fault as the females. Just bc she carries the baby doesn't mean he wasn't involved. It is an equal responsiblity to prtect yourselves, not just from pregnancy, but diseases. Don't take chances on things you might not be ready to deal with.

Both are, but usually (and unfortunately) it is the woman who has to carry all the burden.
I was fortunate enough to find a husband who understands that it's a shared responsibility. A good rule of thumb would be that if the other person does not want to talk about birth control, do not have sex.

Both partners are responsible for birth control. Gone are the days when it was the woman's fault if she became pregnant.
To the poster who said that eventually, a man will want unprotected sex because "it feels better", may I strongly suggest that you crawl back into the hole from whence you came. To suggest that a woman should be the only one responsible for birth control is uneducated and unenlightened.

This is a decision that needs to be made between the couple. If they are married, this is one of many decisions the couple will face in their life together. If they are still dating, they both should use protection. The only birth control that is 100% safe is not having sex. Just remember that every time you have sex with someone you are leaving a little piece of your heart with that person, so make sure it is someone you want to leave the piece with.

It takes two to tango but only one to prevent pregnancy. Both are responsible but it's not a matter of one person being responsible; both of you need to discuss this. If you are going to go that far and you don't think this is a responsible discussion, then neither of you are mature enough to handle the act...no matter what the hormone level. And don't let either party act like it's the others SOLE responsiblity.

BOTH, if they both don't want a pregnancy, BOTH if they both don't want to risk an STD, HIV or HPV (girls can buy condoms too for guys) But the best way is to abstain, becuase HPV is spread by skin to skin contact so even with a condom on if the person with HPV touches anywhere NEAR the other person's "privates" they've spread the disease and there is NO cure for HPV and I don't know anyone who would want to tell a "prospective" partner in life "I have HPV".

Who ever doesn't want to get pregnant. But most of the time the responsiblity falls on the woman because guys think with the wrong head. I think it falls on women more when two people are involved in a serious relationship because guys at one point are going to want to have unprotected sex because it feels better. And all women have to do is take a pill, or even a shot and men can go raw all they want no consequences.

The reality is, more often then not, its the woman stuck dealing with the b/c. When I was single, I never took that for granted & always had condoms around. I would take issue with any man who left b/c soley up to the woman.
