I am looking for a decorative rod (approx. 10 feet) for drapes that has a track built-in on the underside. I need 8 panels to open separate for each window (one long wall with windows side by side). Any suggestions?

I believe I saw those rods in J C Penny's catalog. You won't get one rod to open eight panels separately. You will need individual rods for each window.

You can get one made to order-- with a small electric motor to open and close the drapery-- I'd start with drapery sections in the better department stores-- Penny's has a long history of doing specialty drapery--
Here in Oklahoma are several shops who specialize in just this kind of thing-- and surely there are other places. I'd try the phone book under Drapery-- and what ever other word the stores suggest. Also, decorators that are part of furniture stores will have that information I believe.
good luck

Try HomeDepot.com or Lowes.com.....easy to price online before driving all over town. Good luck!
