Hello!
I am so glad for you that you made that decision! Your life is going to change forever for the better!!
Please visit this wonderful website: http://www.stepstopeace.com
There, you will see clearly the steps that you can take to be born again in Christ. There is also a prayer from Billy Graham to help you. Once you have made a commitment, you can receive Bible study materials to help you grow in your new faith.
It's good to remember that this is more than just visiting a website and reading different materials. You can speak with God directly; He is listening to you right now and you can be sure He is overjoyed that you are making this decision. Speak to Him and let Him hear your thoughts, hopes, questions, or plans. He loves you; that is why He sent His Son to the earth to save us.
Also, please feel free to visit this site: http://www.rbc.org/bible_study/discovery_series/topics/437.aspx
That site will help you answer any questions you may have about countless topics by providing you with comprehensive online booklets.
In addition to that, it would be a wonderful idea to begin reading your Bible a little bit each day. Try to begin with the New Testament. Don't worry if it is a little confusing or if it's hard to interpret--there are many people who can help make it more clear to you, such as a pastor or a friend who reads the Bible.
It's good to fellowship with other believers so that you can grow and learn from their experiences and share common questions or concerns you might have and support each other on life's journey. Perhaps you can find a church that you would like to attend.
Don't be overwhelmed! You have made a very important decision and I applaud you for that! I wish you the very best and may God Bless You now and forevermore!

Teh best thing to do is before you begin reading that Bible from page 1, and dont plan to stop until you finish the last page of revelation is ask GOD for HIS Wisdom.
Ask and you shall recieve, well ask HIM to give you what you need to know from the words you read.
If you do complete the Good Book, you will see everything that most religious sects believe in, and how and why they differ. what parts each group uses to prove their case.
Andhopefully you wont be swayed one way or the other. Hopefully when you are done, you will have a personal relationship with the GOD of Abraham Isaac Jacob and JESUS CHRIST -- because thats all any religious organization can hope to instill in their followers.
Then you keep praying, listen to your heart, and GOD will show you your path.
just remember the golden rules;
Love GOD with all your heart mind and soul
and Love your neighbor as you love yourself.
From that, I think youll do just fine. The rest will be between you and The Only Living GOD.
congradulations. everything youve done in the past is in the past.
you have the world to see now...helping the homeless, being a big brother, helping cancer victims, adopting or just sponsoring a 3rd world child, collecting cans for someone who needs it, or starting your own food drive.
Theres so much good you can do....
but read the bible front to back, so that when those people who spent their lives doing bad and feel they have converted over apporach you with why the religious group they choose is the only one to believe you will know why that group believes in what they do, and why they cant possibly be the only group to follow.
Because the True Church of GOD is within a persons heart...
again thats all any religious organization can hope to show its followers

Start reading the book of John my friend, you'll learn so much in there. The best part is when Jesus talk to Nicodemus about the importance of being born again. (I'm also a born again believer)
I have a great bible study tool, it's called the evidence bible (you can by it at www.wayofthemaster.com). It has questions and answer stuff in it, that might help you.
For God's Glory..

Read John chapter 3
It is in the new testament
Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, is the fourth book.
It tells how a man ask Jesus the same question.
You are born now of water, because of your birth, the water broke and you were born.
Now you must be born again through the spirit of God
God is a spirit, and you must ask Jesus to come into your heart
Forgive you of all your sins and make your life brand new in him
He will enter into your heart by his spirit, and you will feel like a weight comes out of you, and you will feel Jesus on the inside, with peace, love and joy!
Read the Bible all the time, the new testament
Proverbs and Psalms, that is in the old testament.
The word will cleanse you and teach you all things.
I feel really good about you right now.
Go in peace
God loves you, he gave his son Jesus that you could have life and life more abundantly
We love you,
All of God's children love you
Welcome to the family of God!!!!!!!!!!!

First, you have to realize that you have broken God's Laws (the 10 commandments). I'm sure that you have told lies, stolen something, dishonored your parents, and blesphemed God's name (used it inappropriately). That's only 4 laws, I'm sure that if we were to look at the rest closely, that you would be guilty of even more. I know that I am. Here's the thing. We have broken these laws, and, according to God, this requires punishment. God's punishment for breaking His laws is Hell. So, basically, we DESERVE Hell. The bible says that we actually have earned it in the same way you earn your wages from working. So, we stand before the judge, guilty. And a fine is required. A fine so high, that we could never pay it. But, just as we are to be condemned, Jesus walks in and says, "here, I've already taken care of it." All you have to do is believe that he is who he said he was (the son of God), he did what he did ( he died on the cross for you and me, paying that fine that we owe. He rose again in 3 days, defeating death itself), repent (not only be sorry for your sins, but turn from them. Hate your sin like God does.), and put your trust in Jesus.
It's a big thing to think about. But you just need to humble yourself, admit what you have done, and turn to the cross. I would suggest that you start reading in the new testament (more specifically in the book of John). I am not downplaying the role of the old testament, but the NT has the essentials that you need to start your walk. Then, you can start delving into the OT. I'm sure you could get a hold of some suggested paths to follow on the net so that you don't just jump into it without direction. And you need to find a good church that you can fit into (not just socially, but fit into as a cog in the wheel. A cog that helps it move along efficiently.) This will start you into the fellowship that you will need to grow as a follower of Christ.

To be born again is not to be born of the flesh because that only happens once. To be born again is to be born of the spirit. If you are not born again then you can't enter the Kingdon of Heaven. That is what the word says. Why? It is not the fleshly body that will enter Heaven but the spirit.
If God is spirit and we are created in his image then that means we must also have a spirit. That we do, we are 3 in one, body, soul and spirit. It is our spirit that is everlasting, not our body.
The mind doesn't understand the things of the spirit because to the mind it just dosen't make sense. The mind looks at self where the spirit is selfless.
I don't know it that make any sense to you but that is the best I can tell you. If this is new to you, try reading the Gospel of John it might help.

The first thing you need to do is realize there is nothing you can do. You cannot make yourself be born again any more than you could have made yourself be born the first time. What I mean is that it is totally the work of God that saves a person. We are alienated from God by sin, and have nothing we can do to restore ourselves. "But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our trangressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),... For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that (salvation) does not come from yourself; from God comes the gift; not as a result of (good) works, so that no one should boast" (Ephesians 2:4-9). God said in the Prophet Hosea "take words with you and return to the Lord" (Hosea 14:2) May I suggest words something like this "God, I believe you are God, and I have heard this message of the Gospel - that you sent your Son from Heaven to become a man, so that He might act as a member of the human race, to save the human race from the guilt of their sin. I know I am a sinner, but I want to be forgiven, and I want You to help me change my ways, so that I might find the strength to do what is right, even if it is hard. Jesus, please forgive me for my sins, come into my life right now, I give you the right to my life. Cause me to be born again, I pray, give me your Holy Spirit. I believe you died and rose again from the dead, and I am asking you to be my Savior, from this moment on and forever. Amen"
Email me if I can be any further help ! Peace !

1. I must realize that in my present condition I am a sinner before God. "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23)
2. I cannot save myself from eternal punishment in hell
"For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23)
3. Christ has paid for my sins and my punishment with His death on the cross. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him (Jesus) should not perish, but have eternal life.
4. I must accept His crucifixion as payment for my sins, personally. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13)
If you would like to have assurance of eternal life, then pray this prayer from your heart.
"Lord, I know I am a sinner. I believe Your Son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross for my sins. Please forgive me of my sins and make me a new person. I commit my life to You today. Amen"
You may send for a copy of Dr. Stanley's booklet, The Only Door to Heaven at In Touch Ministries. www.intouch.org
Find a Bible teaching church that you can attend so that you have a chance to be with other Christians that can help you to grow. It is easier to read the Bible with a daily devotional magazine. If you can't get a hold of one right away Dr. Stanley has one on line. The "Daily Bread" is a good one as well. It is a life long walk, and you will always have the Lord by your side. Welcome to the family of God. God Bless.
