of all the topics that cause the most confusion I think lust fornification is right at the top. even masturbation is suppose to be a sin according to Catholicism, yet I have yet to find one verse that says masturbation is sexual fornification.

Lets define lust and if its bad.
If lust is wanting a woman, then that is perfectly normal for a man..or a woman, as GOD put woman on the earth to accompany man.
Now if you are LUSTING after your friends wife, then thats bad.

If you are feeling uncontrollable as to want to rape women, thats bad. If you are a young man wanting to release your needs then that isnt. Means you are maturing into a man who needs a woman.

As far as premarital sex, well these times have change from the old days when JESUS CHRIST came about -- so that is between you and GOD. But so long as you arent engaging in freaky group sex, or homosexuality then i think you are okay --but then you will have to live with your decision, and come before GOD when your time has come.

God created human in pairs for only one reason to carry on the gerations of human beings. God strongly emphasized to stay away from adultery and we only allowed to have legal sex with the married one. It will be a sin other than that. God knows men very much in this issue so God has imposed that a man can marry up to four wives.

Lust is not always a sin. It can be good, neutral or bad in the Bible:

ἐπιθυμία, ας, ἡ (1) in a neutral sense strong impulse or desire (MK 4.19); (2) in a good sense of natural and legitimate desire (eager) longing, (earnest) desire (1TH 2.17); (3) in a bad sense of unrestrained desire for something forbidden lust, craving, evil desire (1T 6.9)

You have a desire to reproduce, which is necessary for the human race to carry on. If there were no sex drives, then the human race would have died out a long time ago.

God has created the proper means of release as well. Marriage. One doesn't have to give into their sexual desires everytime they face them. God has promised to always create a way out.

God created lust. Anyone who thinks that it is a sin must think that God is a sinner.
