The pope isn't a king. The actual word is derived from "Papa", and affectionate term used for "father", and actually, the prophecy of St Malachy is a better reference for the end of the world as we know it. St John of Bosco also had really wild dreams about the end of the papacy, although his end in a less dire way.
It is never a good idea to attempt to figure out Revelations without the prompting of the Holy Spirit. I do believe that one must fast and pray for forty days. Even so, no one on this planet is worthy to read AND understand that book. It is incomprehensible to humans, and sensible to angels.
When butterflies understand human tongue, then people will understand God's language.
An exerpt from St John of Bosco's dream: ""Imagine yourselves to be with me on the seashore, or better, on an isolated rock and not to see any patch of land other than what is under your feet. On the whole of that vast sheet of water you see an innumerable fleet of ships in battle array. The prows of the ships are formed into sharp, spearlike points so that wherever they are thrust they pierce and completely destroy. These ships are armed with cannons, with lots of rifles, with incendiary materials, with other arms of all kinds, and also with books, and they advance against a ship very much bigger and higher than themselves and try to dash against it with the prows or to burn it or in some way to do it every possible harm."

You are misinterpreting the Bible. Jesus says we will know neither the day nor the hour.
Mormons made the same mistake as you--countless times. They kept saying the world would end on this certain date. The date passed, and they made up another.
Live each day as if it were your last day. Always stay awake, for you do not know on which day your Lord will come.
