I train on a 4 day on, one day off cycle. This cycle works great for me. But this week I have been very busy at work. I have not been able to work out for three days now. I am bothered and don't want to get weak in this extended off period! How long does it take to begin having strength losses?

Depends on your age. But for the most part, you will not lose muscle mass nor weaken within a week nor a month or more..

If you've been lifting for much of your life, you will always have the benefit of containing your muscle mass. Though our muscles shrink with age, even if you stopped lifting for a long period of time, you would be capable of obtaining your mass again within a short period of time.

Don't worry about getting weak. It's not going to happen anytime soon.
