No, not in service, a combination of high costs, Sept. 11Th and a crash in 2000 caused the Concorde to retire after 27 years. The last flight was that of Concorde no. 216 on 10.27.2003, which landed in Filton, England. It was not a passenger flight though, the last day that Concorde flew with fare was on 10.24.2003 which were all British Airways flights. Air France the only other operator of Concorde flew it for the last day on 5.31.2003

No, there are no more AirFrance Concords in service since the crash in 2000. They have been perminantly grounded, but are still open to the public to view in museums. Production stopped, due to the price. There is no doubt that the AirFrance Concord was an aircraft of awesome power and speed that made intercontinental flights from France to New York.

First, the Concorde grew to become into not taken out of service "because of the fact it grew to become into risky". the only crash grew to become into the consequences of debris that got here off yet another airplane, even though it grew to become into extreme publicized. Even you have the theory it grew to become into risky - it grew to become into not, however the value tag clientele have been given a similar concept you have. Even previously that, the airplane failed the well-known layout requirement for a commercial airliner. It in no way made funds. whether it grew to become into nonetheless in service, it could do you no solid. while you're worried concerning the value of a headset, I doubt you are able to cough up $10,000 a for value tag. The Concorde grew to become into so high priced that it grew to become into not in basic terms competing against different airliners. in case you have adequate funds to spend one greater $9000 to maintain a pair of hours of it slow on a regularly occurring foundation, you're able to desire to have adequate funds to possess or shape a private jet. which ability no crying little ones, no status in protection, no would desire to be on the airport hours in improve. On a door to door foundation, the biz jet will beat a Concorde lots of the time.

No, unfortunately due to the cost of maintenance and the age of the fleet, all Concords have been grounded by both airlines that were operating them.

No, they are all sadly put away. Their days are over....Because of there high fuel consumption, turbojet engines that made a sonic boom, and they were very smoky.
