I believe it is. A couple people, however, have said it is of the second coming, but this idea doesn't make as much sense because why would we need to worry about "the door" being shut if it is the end of the world? Would you please give verses to show proof? One million thanks in advance!

Oh oh, I mean in Matt 25 1-13! sorry! And when Jesus comes back for the secong coming he comes back already married to the church, so doesn't this have to be speaking of the harpatzo (rapture) if, "Those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut?"

Matthew is NOT about Rapture. It is about "Judgment".

Rapture, Revelation, Judgment is 3 diffrent things.

there is nothing in the Old Testament or the Gospels concerning the Rapture except John 14:3. Why? Because the church started on the day of Pentecost and it's The church that's going to be raptured, so the mystery is what Paul taught in I Corinthians 15:51-54 about the rapture, but mystery means something that's being taught for the first time. In context, Matthew 24:37 has to do with judgment. Noah went through the flood. The rest of the world was judged, and as the day of Noah were so shall also the coming of the son of man be. Two shall be in the field, one shall be judged, one shall be left alive. Two women at the mill, one shall be judged, one shall be left alive. Watch, therefore, for you know not what hour your Lord will come. It has nothing to do with the Rapture it has to do with the judgment. And by the way how can 50% of the population be saved when Jesus comes? This is one out of the two, the judgment.

.In Mark 13 Jesus is with His disciples, speaking about the end times. In verse 10 it states “And the gospel must be first preached to all nations”, is this referring to the time before Christ comes at the Rapture, or is it referring to the time when Christ comes at the end of the Tribulation? As I read Mark 13, verses 11 -37 seem to indicate this would be during the tribulation period.
We always been taught that all the signs do not have to be fulfilled before the Rapture. If there weren't one sign we can still go to be with Jesus because all the signs could be fulfilled during the seven years and during that period of time we have 144,000 flaming evangelists, mentioned in Revelation 7:4-8 and they are preaching Matthew 24:14 the Gospel of the Kingdom, Gospel means Good News and it’s the Gospel that the King is coming and these messengers are circulating every part of the globe. Every person on earth will hear it. It doesn't have to happen now. It could happen after we’re gone during those seven years.

How can the Church endure persecution if it is not here?
It will be just like the days of Noah. Who survived? The righteous or the unrighteous?
The doctrine of the rapture was invented by a preacher named John Darby in the 1800's. Before that, no one ever even thought of it.

I find it odd that millions accept a doctrine that is 176 years old, but flatly reject Apostolic Tradition (which includes scripture) that predates the canon of the bible. The evidence, found in the writings of the Early Church Fathers, is there for anyone who wants to see it.

the myth OF the ten VIRGINS. the ten virgins could be seen as first of numerous parables affirming that the introduction of the dominion would be unpredicted. those are all comments on the text cloth, "of that day and hour no person knoweth, no not the angels of heaven, however the father on my own" (Matthew 24:36). that's a "looking at" parable, and is not in compliment of virginity as such, nevertheless utilized by ability of the Fathers, as St. Gregory Martyr, to the duties of the virgin-state. St. Augustine writes "souls that have the Catholic faith and seem to have solid works" (Serm. xciii, 2); St. Jerome, "they boast the certainty of God and are untainted with idolatry ". There seems to be a memory of this parable in Luke 12:36, wrought into the admonition to adult males "that anticipate their Lord". Wellhausen's concept that St. Matthew composed it from St. Luke is untenable. in the East that's well-known that the bride must be conveyed with honour to the bridegroom's homestead; yet there would desire to be exceptions, as right here. Mystically, Christ is the bridegroom, His parousia the form, and the learning by ability of religion shining out in Christian deeds is imaged in the burning lamps or torches. For the "closed door" see Luke 13:25. the tip, "Vigilate", is an instantaneous lesson and no area of the story. St. Methodius wrote the "feast of the ten Virgins", a impolite secret play in Greek.

levelart, this is about the second coming of Christ. Christ himself is the "Door" There will be a 1000 year reign before the final rapture occurs. The Story of the 10 Virgins is in Matthew 25. This is about a wedding, which basically is refering to when Jesus returns to take his people back to heaven with him. This is talking about Spiritual preparedness. Spiritual preparedness cannot be bought or borrowed at the last minute. Our relationship with God must be on our own.

Its talking about both the Christian rapture and the 2nd coming of Christ, as well as the state of the Church. Those who are ready will be like the wise virgins, and those who are not will be like the foolish virgins (all are believers). Those who are prepaired will be gathered to Christ in Heaven, while those who are not will be turned away.

I believe you are mistaken about the parable of the ten virgins because it is in Matt. 25:1-13. If you will read Matt. 24 you will see Christ is talking about when he comes back (second coming).
Matthew 24:19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days. This verse tells us that if you spiritually follow the antichrist before Christ comes back you are not a virgin when he comes back as king. The parable of the ten virgins tells us we need to be a spiritual virgin when Jesus comes back and also we need to keep oil in our lamps for light. Let's look at this lamp a little closer the lamp represents a person for light to come from a lamp it must have oil to burn to produce light we get our renewing for THE WORD OF GOD the five wise virgins kept oil in their lamp is Bible the five foolish virgins let their lamps run dry. What we need to learn from this parable is the only source of renewing and growing of our knowledge is THE WORD OF GOD and if we neglect to read and study the Bible we may not have the knowledge to remain a spiritual virgin for our Lord and Savior. When Jesus was tempted by the devil He used scripture to counter the devils questions we should take his example very serious. I hope this helps you to understand this parable. In Jesus Christ we serve.

Yes, I believe Jesus was referring to the rapture, or death, which ever may come first for you.

The rapture is going to occur at the 2nd coming right before God's wrath is poured out on the rest of the world. The church will be taken up by Angels who come with the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Notice that this parallel passage to the one from 1 Thes 4 says at the "last trump". Now consider this statement Jesus gave to us about the gathering of the "elect".

Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

The discredited doctrine of dispensationalism is responsible for people thinking that somehow the church and the nation of Israel are going to be separated in regards to the Lords coming. But what sayeth the Scriptures?

Ephesians 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. 14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

Romans 11:24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree? 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. 26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

The church was started by Jewish people and in each generation God calls out a remnant of Jews who become Christians. When Jesus comes back the Holy Spirit will be poured out on the elect Jews whom God has chosen and they too will be saved at that time.

Zechariah 12:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. 10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

2 Corinthians 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

As to your question about the parable, I believe that it could very well be about people who profess to know Christ who will not be raptured.

Matthew 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. 44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
