I think this would've been a great fight. And i know a lot of people will say Hagler right off the bat, but think about it, Iran's pressure style and strength and good chin may have given Marvin a tough night. What do you think?

Iran Barkley lost a lot of credibility with me with his lackluster effort against Roberto Duran. He was lucky to win that. When he was on his game Hagler would be tough to beat. I'll take the marvelous one in a close match.

Interesting matchup! Marvin Hagler is my #2 rated middleweight of all time behind only Sugar Ray Robinson. He probably could take a punch better than any fighter that ever lived and could do it all in the ring. Barkely was also a very tough fighter with a lot of determination and will power inside the ring. I believe the biggest difference in this fight would be Hagler's superior jab and boxing ability. Both men would land some good shots in this exciting contest. If this is a 12 round fight, I pick Hagler by decision, if 15, I pick Hagler by 14 round knockout! Good question.

Craig G - Barkley lost to Duran.

This fight is a tougher one for Hagler than people think. Barkley was a three division champ. This would probably have resembled Hagler/ Mugabi, with Marvin beating Barkley into submission.

Hagler vs Barkley?
Wow!
What a fight!
It's difficult o say, but I give marvin the edge over Barkley...
A TKO in 4 rounds for Hagler.

Just think in the TKO win of Hearns over Juan Roldan...

Good question!

Duran, although a legend, was really a natural lightweight. His skill and relentlessness wore Barkley down, resulting in a knockdown in round 11 of their fight. Hagler a natural middleweight who was equally relentless and possibly a hair less skilled than Duran would have ended it sooner. Hagler would have beaten down Barkley and TKOed him by round 8.

the two have been #one million pound for pound while at this weight, i desire a number of the extra youthful followers could take a inspect a number of Toneys fights while he grew to become right into a Middleweight (The Nunn combat is a solid one) he grew to become into magnificent, i mean the boxer he's right this moment isn't James Toney for me, i dont incredibly like watching him anymore as this is a farce incredibly i dont think of he has experienced top for 10 years. even nonetheless nonetheless in Marvin Hagler you have matched him up against the main fearsome Middleweight ever, i see this being a large combat nonetheless which will circulate the gap, yet i see Hagler taking it on factors purely for the effortless actuality that he out works Toney for the entire combat, Toney wasnt as protective then as he's now yet he could nevertheless look for rests throughout the middle of the around and that's while Hagler could be putting the tension directly to win him the around. purely risk for Marvin could be punching himself out as Toney could supply him the possibility to try this, even nonetheless i think of Hagler could be too clever for this and as quickly as he realised he werent going to cease him he could %. himself top and do in simple terms sufficient to take the rounds. Hagler Unanimous determination.

You have got to be kidding me. No one at their prime could be Marvin at his prime. And no Sugar Ray lost. I was there.
