Makes no difference where you are from - you are subject to the laws in force in the jurisdiction where you are - and keep in mind that the laws in England are different than in Scotland or in N. Ireland.

If you're over 18, it's legal to drink in the UK. I believe the legal age is 21 in the USA?

If you are of the legal drinking age in UK (18?) you can drink. There is no law that says "American kids can't drink until they are 21, everybody else can drink at 18" LOL
Same as in US, if you go to a state with a lower drinking age (used to do this all the time as a kid) you can drink there.

You are subject to th elocal laws, so you can buy alcohol if you are 18, drink in bars and clubs, and legally drink in private at under 18.
You also have to drive on the left :)
Same as UK citizens who go to the US have to obey local laws, including not being able to buy a beer until they are 21 :(

Of course, only when they are 18 or older. But anybody who is older than 8 but younger than 21 CAN drink alcohol in the UK. Local laws always prevail.

Many countries don't have any age related laws pertaining to alcohol. If you are in a country, that allows you to drink, it is not illegal, because you abide by the laws in the country you are in , not the country from which you came. For example an 18 yr old from England can go to his favorite bar in London and order a drink, same guy flies to Utah to visit his American cousin, finds out he can't order a drink, his 17 yr. old cousin flies back to London with him gets to go to the pub for a nice pint.

I agree that it is annoying to produce different persons apparently minding your business enterprise. i do no longer drink alcohol, yet whilst i replaced into pregnant I had human beings chiding me for issues like accomplishing above my head to dangle a photograph, for persevering with to holiday my horse till my 4th month, and for ingesting (or no longer ingesting) specific meals. it somewhat is annoying. yet in terms of fetal alcohol syndrome, it is not wide-unfold how plenty alcohol intake would reason a issue. it somewhat is particularly conceivable that intake of a reasonably low quantity of alcohol during the incorrect time of gestation, whilst some intense degree of fetal progression is occurring, could bring about injury to the toddler. Is it rather well worth risking it? FWIW, intake of alcohol is likewise linked to heartburn, and talking as somebody who had in no way experienced heartburn till i replaced into pregnant, this could be a darned stable reason to abstain. i'd wager that perchance you're carrying your first baby. properly, all i will say with connection with heartburn is that in case you start up off experiencing it, you will voluntarily abstain from something that would reason it or make it worse. Yeah, being pregnant Nazism is annoying. yet seem at it this way: the persons who exhibit situation care approximately you and your toddler. isn't that a competent element?

If you're of the legal drinking age there (18), then you can of course drink, regardless of where you're from. Just be sure to behave responsibly.
