I mean really. Okay, so this is what they're telling you. Some spirit popped out of nowhere and somehow created the universe. Then, this spirit, since spirits are so smart, decides to make a son out of yet again, nothingness. So I guess he uses his super powers and makes everything, including his son. Don't forget, millions of years before this, there were dinosaurs and all, so I guess it took god millions of years to finally think that "Hey, I should make some humans, make their DNA really close to chimps to throw them off, and then, I shall tell them all that I'm the almighty being, and I made everything" So boom, Jesus is there. Somehow, everyone magically believes Jesus, though they have no proof of anything whatsoever. Jesus is sacrificed, and comes back to life? Wouldn't he stay up in Heaven or something with that superbeing God? That's why I'm not Christian. Too silly.

"Knowing how vast the universe is the possiblity of this "god" paying any attention of us is pretty doubtful, silly and egotisitical.
If he was so great he wouldn't spend his time with a small planet orbiting a medicore star in a common spriral galaxy."

One last thing, on those who are mentioning how 'silly' evolution is. Evolution, unlike God, is proven. It's a /proven/ fact. God isn't.

That is like walking up to a building and saying where did this come from. I just don't believe it. Deny that it ever had a builder because you didn't see the builder. That's kind of dumb. See building then there must have been a builder. See created things then there must have been a creator. DUH.
Just because you don't understand something does not mean that it isn't so. But in the long run does your disbelief really matter? Not really. Does my belief really matter? Well see.
What is going to happen will happen and when it does it does. When it comes to pass then belief and disbelief won't matter.
By your own understanding and belief we are nothing more than just a cosmic mistake that just accidental happening with no design, no purpose, no meaning. I choose to believe that there is more than what meets the eyes here. That there is purpose, there is design, and meaning.
I find that to be more real and have more worth then just some cosmic accident. To believe in purpose or mistake, hmmm. I think I will take design over accident any day of the week.
Which is more silly?

Yea it is so ridiculous. I don't know how they believe this stuff. And I am supposed to think that someone is great because he is a religious man? I think he is nuts. It's as ridiculous as believing in Leprechauns.
Then they want to tell science what to do? How did this foolishness become a majority of people?
Now the Bible is used to explain the truth like it is science. It's a book of stories written for extreemly ignorant un educated people to keep them in line. Fear works. Look at the whole Republican agenda.
I read the bible it's just stories people. You don't think Hansel and Gretle really happened do you?
You think the Bible is nuts try the Bagvadgitah. Man their God is even more of a violent nut case then the Hebrew/ Christian God, . Oh yea let's not forget Islam and the Koran. While thier religion is not supposed to be violent all they seem to be about is killing and war.
Religion divides people. If you want to believe there is a God fine it seems like a logical assumption but there is no real proof other than life itself and the rest is just fiction. People it's not about the religion it's about the relationship. The relationship between your fellow man. You can't say you love God you have no idea of him. Not anymore than a dog can do quantum Physics.
And while we are on it things can be dated fairly acurately in other methods then carbon dating and the Earth has been here billions of year. It didn't look the same and it didn't have humans making a mess of it. But it was here and will be here after we are gone as a species.

To be a christian is to Love your god with all your heart and soul and to love your neighbor as yourself. You must believe that god lives in you and in all others.
I would think the world a much better place if we only did things out of love.
If we forgave each other not 7 times but 7 times 70 and
If we only condemned others is if we were perfect ourselves
But those values are impossible to achieve so you must be right Christianity is silly.

You're totally taking everything out of context. HaShem(God) didn't just pop out of nowhere or decide to create a Son. He always has existed; hence, there was no popping up. Also, there's a thing called the Trinity. God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Yeshua(Jesus), the Son, came to earth to save men(who were created by HaShem) who had decided to mess up. Plus, there is no evidence for millions of years. If carbon dating is only reliable to about back 16 or so thousand years, then hmmm we can only assume that earth has been around for...16 thousand years. No more. I've also heard that human DNA is pretty close to dog DNA. But don't take my word for it. And HaShem kinda revealed Himself all the way back from Adam and Eve; He didn't kinda wait until Yeshua's coming to earth. And you're right; Christians have almost no evidence for the existence of Yeshua. Except for the writings of the Apostolic Scriptures(Christian New Testament). And the writings of Flavius Josephus, a Jewish historian, who I've heard is a pretty reliable source. And finally, Yeshua didn't stay up in Heaven because He was willing to sacrifice Himself in order to save people. Yeah, a selfish viewpoint says He should've stayed up in Heaven, especially since He knew that there would be people who would find this story too absurd. But He didn't. He made that sacrifice. I hope you'll reconsider your position on this issue. I'm sorry if I was pushy; I'm not trying to convert you or be disrespectful to you. Let me know if I can be of any more help. And I don't think there are any, but I'm sorry if there happen to be any typos coz it's kinda late and I don't have my contacts in. :) shavuah tov!

Evolution hasn't been PROVED, it's still debated, still a THEORY. And if you tell a story to sound stupidly, you are right, it is a bit silly. But, if you read it or hear it told RIGHT it's NOT silly at all. Heck, you can tell any story and make it sound silly. If that's the way someone explained about Christianity, Creation and God to you, I don't blame you. You should go to someone you know that is a Christian and ask them to explain it to you. Or go to Church Sunday. I hope you hear the real story of Christianity.

No, not since we have eternal life that will never end, just like God
Heaven to live in, street of gold,
The heavenly New Jerusalem 1500 miles square.
Angels everywhere singing Holy, Holy Holy to the Lamb of God,
a tree of life bearing 12 manner of fruit on each side of the river.
a sea of glass.
A crystal river,
and the city, you can see through it, like transparent glass,
only it is pure gold
God will be the light, and there will be no darkness
No dust.
No seasons of time. Just bright cool weather all the time.
Jesus the Lamb will serve us as we eat with him
No, not silly at all.

Yes Christianity is silly, believing in God is silly.
But you know what's also silly. Lemmings.
If I can watch a healthy creature, for now apparent reason, just absurdly plummet over a cliff while his buddies and cousins are dying all around him I can believe in something silly like Creationism.
Because life isn't a scientific equation or a math problem, there is the unknown and at the point of some people's lives there is an humbling of your self to make a jump of faith into that unkown, and trust me my friend to be ok with something as "silly" as God, is beautiful. Its is peace and pure joy.
The only answer is Jesus.

Take a good look around you at all the life. Ask yourself where did it come from? If you have a watch you have to have a watch maker. We just didn't happen. Someone created us. If you don't believe in God. You must believe in the big bang theory. If so be careful next fourth of July. New people will be popping up all over the place.

Well, how is evolution any better, scientists with "proof" want me to believe that we all came from a tiny little atom of matter that is about the size of a . Well, my question would be where did that atom of matter come from? how do we have any proof of evolution? Carbon dating is capable of being erroneous, you should read the article in this website , http://contenderministries.org/evolution/carbon14.php,
it's kind of long but you should find it enlightening. Anyways, I hope i've been of help even if I don't agree with you about christianity being silly, evolution is not such a grea optionfor me either.

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.But we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are mighty
