First, you must have at least 12" of hair to donate. I would contact your local salon, Locks of Love requires donations are made from a salon, and most salons give you a free hairecut/style for the donation. If this doesn't work I would google Locks of love :) I hope this helps.

Call around to your local salons, alot of them participate directly with this organization. That way you can make the appointment and they will be able to prepare the hair for delivery while they are cutting it. Alot of salons that donate the hair will not even let it touch the floor they just take a large piece from a ponytail and measure it and then put it aside until your cut is done. You have to go to a salon that supports this charity. Most who are affiliated will cut your hair for free. You have to have at least a 10 inch ponytail to donate though. Then the salon takes care of the rest. Great Clips is the only nation wide chain I can think of that does it. All you have to do is ask. I think all of the privately owned salons in our small town do it too.

We do this a lot in my shop and one thing for sure is that you have to have 10inches of hair to give as a minimum. What you do is make a low pony tail , if your hair is longer use two rubber bands one to secure your hair another to mesure the 10 inches and to cut right above it. Then you put your hair in a plastic bag and mail it. You might have to look up the 800# or a web site for the address i have it at the shop otherwise i would give you more details, but that is really all you have to do. Thanks for doing it though... not many people cares anymore

If you have really long hair and you get your haircut you can ask them about it and they will ask you how many inches you want cut off but your hair has to be long lika little bit past your shoulders and the people there will send to a place for kids that need hair!!!Good luck

To donate you have to donate 12 inches of hair.It is my understanding they have enough hair but are lacking on money donations.One of mr co-workers just did that.

You go to a hair salon and before they cut your hair, tell them you want to donate it. (The hair is cut in a ponytail and can't touch the floor.)

Certain places will do it, call ahead and see. When you go most places I have heard give you a free haircut along with it!
