Well that's an interesting question. I remember being young and feeling God's presence most of all out in the beauty of nature. I am 55 now, and I still feel exactly the same way, especially if I'm alone in some lovely landscape, I very much feel His presence.
I also feel Him when I read and contemplated His word (the bible), but the sweetest connection with Him, I think, is out in His creation.

I love to spend time in the forest or by a river side in a field of grass or on a mountain top, I can pray and look at all God's creations, talk to Him as I know He is there, I feel so much closer, BUT..reading Gods word inspires me to truth, happiness, and knowing God said in his word, I am the word and the word was made flesh and dwelt among us, so to me when I look at a tree with it's branches streched up, a bird singing, the quiet rippling of a water fall, or looking at the mountains and knowing God made the valleys with his fingers, and held he ocean in the phalm of His hand, I feel closer...

I love doing both. Honestly, I feel more connected to God outside in a beautiful forest, than inside reading a book. I think that both are important, and you can connect with him in different ways, in different places.
God bless, and I will pray for you. :)

By knowing that if I die tomorow, I know where I'll go. That by it self give me peace. Reading bible daily make realize more and more, that I'm not a good person, and I need a Savior to save me from hell.

Nature is created by G-d.
I'd say I have been touched deeply by both, but reading Scripture in the woods is cool, too.
While both may inspire me, only Scripture touches my spirit.
