Ah, the wonderful innocence of young love! Well, if either of you hope to get this thing up and going, then someone has to take the first step. It is hard; It is embarrassing; but it is necessary, too. If you are both two shy for words, try writing a simple note and have a friend pass it to him. You could also use your friends as "go betweens" to relay verbal messages back and forth between the two of you, but that leaves a lot of room for mistakes and confusion. Write a note. Smile everytime you pass him. Even a wink might be manageable despite your shyness. Try one, or even all, of the above. Good luck.

My friends set me up to be alone with this guy. We ended up dating for about 2 years.

Just talk to him and hope that you can come out of your shyness and bring him out of his as well. He will be flattered you went out and talked to him. For starters, you could take some mints/gum out of your purse and offer him some. Then you could start talking. or make a joke or something. I hope everything goes well with you two. good luck=)

Only thing to do is get over your shyness. It may take some courage but if ya don't ask--or speak--ya be out in the cold.

always helps when you have an experience with an outgoing person.. they usually boost your self-confidence.... i say take your chances and just talk....
if you have nothing to talk about then.... it is possible that you shouldn't be together
communication is the most important thing in a relationship
