or vice versa? I'm not contemplating career choises, just curious. In the book, The Plot Against America, someone joins the Canadian army when we (the U.S.) are not in WWII and Canada is.

All you need is Canadian citizenship. And you wont have to give up your American citizenship. But why do you want to join the Canadian Army? I think your listening to someones story about Canada and you think it's going to be so much better than here. Which it is.

In both WW I & II, many Americans came north in '14 & 39 to join the Canadian forces when we went to Britain's aid. As for the Brit Bi**h that made a comment about our army, we have lost more than the UK in Afghanistan. As for Americans joining our forces, it was officially discouraged but there were ways around it.

yes but you have to actually get your citizen papers and be in the country a set period of time. It is so kids can serve their new country as adults, but ZI have never heard an adult do it.

No because then 50% of their military force would be foreign.
