my mom went into the hospital the other day and she called me in school and I say my guy friend(that iv known since 6th grade) and I told him and all he had to say was I have to go back to class ya know im like i no bye. and then he didn’t get I was mad at him for 2 days then he asked me if I was mad and im like for the last 2 days and he didnt know why and i told him he was insensitive then he didn’t get why so we went out side and talked but im still mad at him and I cant believe he didn’t say anything am I being weird? maybe he felt uncomfortable saying anyhitng. Some people tend to freeze up if something emtional like that comes up. or he could of thought there is no time to chat..you have to get going.
You should talk to him more if it is bothering you. be honest with him..totaly honest.

girls and guys look at things differently, their brains actually process and function in different ways. Being upset with him for not reacting like a girl would isn't really fare. You can't ask a fish to fly like a bird, or a bird to swim like a fish. You need to tell him that it hurt your feelings and why, but do it calmly, use as short of terms as you possibly can, and don't use words of blame.
Try something like:
I just wanted to let you know why I've been so upset lately.
When my mom went into the hospital I really needed a hug and some support. I needed someone to talk to. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear with you on what I was looking for.
It get's your point accross, no anger, no blame, and he will still see where he could have done more of what you wanted.
I'd be suprised if he didn't appologize for not being more there for you.

You clearly had some expectations that your, " guy Friend" would react a certain way when you told him your mom was in the hospital. His lack of concern disappointed you and now you're asking us: are ALL guys insensitive??? The answer to your question is : No All guys are not insensitive. You should be able to tell him that you're disappointed in his reaction, ( or lack there of) to you when you told him your mom was sick. Believe it or not guys can not read your mind. Don't trip on it. If you care about your friendship with him you're going to have to care enough to share your thoughts & feelings with him. It's called acting mature.

No, all guys are not insensitive jerks and no, you're not weird. Guys sometimes don't know what to say in certain situations so they remain quiet or say something without thinking. So don't throw away a good friendship.
