It's not after life.
We are in heaven right now, we have never left. Each of us is a part of God. God is in heaven and so are we.

The Kingdom of Heaven begins now, when you repent of your rebellion against God, believe in the Gospel, and receive the Spirit of Christ into your life. "Unless a man is born again, he cannot see... or enter the Kingdom of God" (Gospel of John 3:3-5). I entered the Kingdom of God the moment I believed. The change within me was indescribable. "For He (God the Father) rescued us out from the Domain of Darkness, and transferred us into the Kingdom of the Son of His Love" (Colossians 1:13). Note the verb tense is past tense. Once you are in the Kingdom, you begin to realize there is alot of work to be done! So come on in and stick around a while !

Because we want to get to Heaven, and live a life for God not ourselves. Spreading His ministries and message is our part in life. The ten commandments say 'though shalt not kill' as one of them, and if we kill ourselves, we commit the ultimate sin on purpose, and when we are dead, we cannot repent. We are dead.
God bless and I will pray for you:)

Following reasons:
(1) You can't just get in. You would have had to live a sanctified, holy, and Christlike life. ( Notice I say holy, meaning that if a Christians were to live a sinful life before God and die without repentance, he, even he, would not go to heaven)
(2) Remember the commandment in the Torah: Thou shalt not kill (killing as in killing other people) Other translations say: Thou shalt not murder. You are a person. So, if you kill yourself, you would be sinning against God. A person defiled by sin cannot enter heaven and instead goes to hell which also exists in the afterlife.

I don't know, but would you want your last act on earth to be murder? I know I wouldn't. We each have a purpose and reason for being. That is to serve others and not yourself. If you commit suicide you are doing it for yourself, for your own gains and goodwill. The exact opposite of what God taught. You are committing the most selfish act known to man. That is one of many reasons why we shouldn't murder ourselves.

One of the thing that said in 10 Commandments is number 6, Thou shall not murder/kill. And that including kill yourselves. Your boddy is God's temple, and to commit suicide is ti destroy God's temple.
While we're still alive God's give us a chance to get right with Him. First, by obbeying God's commandments, repent of your sin, and ask Jesus to renew your heart.
Do you know where you go when you die ? that's a different answer.. :) www.SO4J.com

Eventually everyone in Heaven is coming back to a glorious earth. You were not created for Heaven. Its only a holding place, if you will.
The Earth was created for man. And one day man will populated other planets.

Apparently suicide leads straight to hell. Besides, these people aren't 100% sure that there's even an afterlife, let alone that they'll get into heaven just for repenting.

According to most religions, killing gets you sent in the opposite direction of Heaven.
