My lack of religion does it for me.
I have a very curious and inquisitive character, that doesn't stop before some things some people may consider sacred.
I act with no regard for anything other than people's feelings and the law (so, no consideration to anything else that can be considered a sin, or morally wrong).
I wear whatever I find first in my wardrobe. But I don't think there are "unbelievers' ways" of dressing. If I were a woman, perhaps, I'd wear short skirts and dresses, and that wouldn't be too Christian.
I talk in Spanish, in my daily life, but in a Spanish that is deprived of such expressions as "Si Dios quiere" (If God wants), "Gracias a Dios" (Thank God), and so on, which are entirely meaningless to me.
And I live according to the same principles as those that guide my actions.
So, yes. My lack of a religion pretty much determines my every move.

Fortunately, ours doesn't presume to do that. It merely provides guidelines.
While not meaning to comment on your "Faith", ma'am; may I just say that when I saw the "Answers" to many "Questions" by Muslims, they were actually telling us why we shouldn't subscribe to their "Faith" at all.
Permit me to illustrate. Why should women dress in that fashion? Because they provoke "innocent" men by wearing those "revealing" clothes!?
I'm sorry, but why doesn't this "provoke" the non-believers, then?
You might recollect that we'd seen a Question regarding the rape of a white Australian woman by 5 Muslim youths where their Imam had defended their actions by saying it was the "Christian" womans fault because she'd dressed provocatively!? And all the Muslims were also trying to justify this.
Rape is not a condonable act and when a "Religion" says that the women need to dress in such a manner so as not to "provoke" men, it reveals its weakness in that the woman is not considered to be worthy of freedom.
By the fact that all the "non-believers" are not "provoked" by these "revealing" dresses, it only goes to prove how sexually frustrated the "Believers" must be, doen't it?
Our "Faith" doesn't require us to say "pbuh", "swt" and things l;ike that or even greet each other in the style you people do. Thank the Lord for that. But then, isn't this a regimentalized way of living?
You were given no problems by our people when you decided to "convert" to Islam, except for, perhaps your close friends saying they felt you shouldn't be doing this. Now, just speak of re-converting!? You know that the Muslims will kill you for that; because that is what their "Religion" says they must do.
Anybody knows what "charecter" the Muslims have and how they "live" ... by the Book.
Thank the Good Lord, the rest of us aren't like that.

Depends on the religion and how devote the practitioner is.
Be it wearing muslim robe, or because CHRISTianity wouldnt want you to prance around in overly revealing clothes, its up the the individual.
Just like the parable JESUS taught, about eating pork or unclean foods .. its not what goes into your mouth that you should concern your self with, its what comes out of your mouth that tells the world everything within your heart.
The words a person chooses tells alot about who they are.
Whether a person chooses to steal, cheat, lie, commit adultery are all dictated by their moral (religious) beliefs or lack of beliefs.
So the answer is yes...the stronger your Faith the more your words, clothes and overall demeanor will be reflected in everythign you do.
However, there is a fine line that over does it. As to when a religious group says you can and cannot do this, wear this watch this, listen to this music, eat this or say that. Each indivdual should read the Bible for themselves, and that will tell you everything you need to know about what you can and cannot do, ANd more importantly why groups tell people why they can or cannot do the things they limit them from doing.

in away it does shape they way i am but no totally .. i know the Catholic religion do have some good stuff but have bad stuff too so i only take what i think is right and good ... wish is mostly Jesus :P
i don't think religion should be that influential.... no because they may be right and wrong but because the people that teach and control religion don't know mush ether ...
people need to be smart and able to see true people that wanna control then ..
is really easy to manipulate when they tell u that u will go to hell for this and that or that u will become a hero by doing this and that but the true is that many time u may not know the true porous those people behind the book or Church ... so is better to be mostly ur self than something your religion may want u too be ...
that said we do need religion because it does bring peace to chaos
edit .. i hope that -1 point is because my bad English

YES, Islam is my chosen way of life and it shapes everything that is good in my character. Every fault in me is from my own self. Every good action, every good thought, every good idea is a result of Islam and done with the intention of pleasing God.
Act: I wish I could say yes but I try my best to be polite and be a good person.
Dress: YES, this is the easiest. I dress according to the criteria of hijab for men and keep a beard. Its wonderful having a beard. It keeps cowardly men and shallow women away :D
Talk: most of the time YES Alhamdulillah. Most of the time, the discussions center around Islam or politics or current affairs or family affairs. I hardly ever use foul language. Moron and idiot are the most I go to :D
Live: Yes Alhamdulillah. I can't imagine life without Islam. I pray five times a day, cook my own food, wash my own clothes, clean the house, look after my parents and brothers and sisters knowing that the reward for patience and sacrifice and good deeds is with Allah.
Life is good Alhamdulillah :-)
How about you sister? Does Islam shape your character and everything assocaited with your life?

that is really a hard question , coz i'll be erragont if i said yes, since our religion calls for morals and the best u can be in every thing or i mean it shapes everything in the best form ,so, it is hard for the human being , but all i can tell u , is that : to some extent yes, & iam trying , to have the character that islam wants us to be , to act right , to dress!!well , ican dress what i want (neat and elegant) with preserving the limits that islam said , talk , i try to watch my mouth........
usually the presious values are hard to get , so , itry and pray god to help me.

It may have been part of my parents character traits, they combined who they are to raise their family as a single conscience. They molded my character.
When I left home, as I joined the Navy, at 18 I was raising myself. My faith sustains me, but dressing and talking, living - no. I did not want to embarrass my parents so I rarely am "that guy" that's comfortable doing amazing things I could never do. I do not have the personality for flamboyant life style. I swear like a sailor, of course, that does not count.

nope. I am technically a Christian and I do try to live by the golden rules, but not because of Christianity. Because I believe it is the right thing to do. I believe in the "rules" because I think everybody has the right to be happy in life. As far as everything else definitely not. I dress and live for myself and my family. I really doubt Jesus cares if I wear white after labor day, lol.
