Most codes that have any REAL meaning begin with 10 - (#).
Like 10-20 means, "what's your location?" and so on...

The answer that said it meant 10:55 PM is probably correct. There are hundreds of separate types of police codes, including the most common "10" code put out by the Associated Public Communications Officers group. When I was a news man back about 30 years ago, the Colorado Springs area had 5 or more different sets of codes for police and fire. About the only thing they had in common was 10-4!

It could mean the time which would be 10:55. As a very nosy person I keep the police scanner on at my house and they often end their communications with the dispatch with the time.

nearly every state is on different police codes and don't decode them theres a reason they're encoded it's to throw off drug dealers
