Should I ask him to the next dance?

My friend Oliver (not his reall name) is really nice and I like him but he's wierd, but so am I. He just moved here and hes in my reading, band and enrichment class but I don't like he likes me. He's friends with people who don't like me but he's not like them, and we fight a lot. I want to know if I should wait or if I should go ask him to the next school dance. He went to the last one but we only said hi to each other. I'm going to go to the Valentines dance this year and thats it unless someone goes with me. My frined Josie (not her real name) says I should just go alone but I don't want to. I'd feel better to dance with some I like not my friends.

if u truly want him to go to the dance with u...u should try talking to him first when he is not around his friends...such as lunch or at the library....see if he feels comfortable talking to u....then sort of work in the question of the dance maybe he will say yes.....but if he says no...it isnt the end of the world...there are alot of boys that would take u up on it.....just take ur time..and plan out the way.....using your brain before u act will help the way u present yourself........
