My ex and I dated for a year and a half and I was his first gf..When he broke up with me he said that he wanted to date other people and didn't really want a gf at the time. But then I found out a few months later that he already had a new girlfriend and, she was the only girl he went out with and dated after me. Would you say this is a rebound? and how do you usually know if it is?

It could be one of 2 things 1.) It is a rebound and he wants to make you jealous or 2.) He met this girl and really liked her and she made him change his outlook on wanting a girlfriend. Either way, you guys are broken up and I KNOW it bothers you but I would definitely move on. Things change and people change and he definitely seems to have changed and moved on. Good Luck, and remember you deserve the best...YOUR AWESOME!! :)

It sounds like he may have wanted her while he was with you. So, to not cheat on you, maybe he decided to break it off with u so he could date someone else without cheating on u.

rebound relationships are the ones that you get into before you are ready for another one.

hmmm....it could be. But maybe he is just longing for a steady companion. In any way...why does it bother you??? I thought you guys split up already.
