When preparing for a trip by car, what is a good emergency kit?

Granola bars,chocolate bars, candles, nuts, warm blankets, water, flashlights extra batteries, emergengy flashers, make sure your spare tire is in good condition,jacks for the car, maybe a bag of cat litter in case you get stuck, your cell phone and 2 Thermos with hot beverage. One thing you have to remember you need to leave one window a little bit open because the candles take the oxygen out of the air.

AAA membership is nice for quick help. Food - salty and sweet, to include all the food groups for survival. Baby wipes - to wipe off windshield wipers - you get a better wipe if it's raining. Road trip music! Maps. 4 way wrench - easier for anyone changing a tire. Cables. Blanket. If it's cold, extra layers for sure.

go to walmart auto section , they have a neat kit in a carrying case , has flash light ,batteries, gloves flares, all kind of stuff for about 20 bucks
