I've never been in a long term relationship, and I don't really have the need to be in one. Im kind of a recluse, I like hanging with people, but at the end of the day all I want is to essentially be by myself and reflect and unwind, whether that is playing guitar or video games or going for a bike ride. I know women expect more out of a relationship, and I am going on a date with this woman who I know really likes me, and I like hanging out with her, I just don't know if I want to be in a relationship, mostly because of the time and energy you have to put in. What should I do? Should I give it a shot? If not, how should I tell her I really like her, but I just don't want anything more serious?

Tell her what you just said on here. Honesty is always best.

Tonylambi,
Honesty is the best policy in cases like this. If she's half the woman you say she is I think she would understand completely. You can never go wrong telling the truth.

you should just be honest with her and tell her that you are not ready for a serious relationship and that you can hang out when ever and let just see what happen and i think she will understand or move on good luck
