just the one rule of thumb.
No one reputable, asks you to pay any money, at all.
They may, or may not like, and accept your images, for resale.
But hundreds of web sites exist to extract your cash, by offering whatever dreams of photographic stardome, and promises of this and that...they just need your cash, first.?

It takes a lot skill to be able to produce professional quality images. When you say you have "some good photos" it tells me you don't have that skill. You may get lucky with a few above mediocre snapshots but I am almost certain they are nowhere near professional. Not trying to discourage you but unless you're able to produce high quality images click after click (with only the occasional dud and not the other way around) then it's probably best you wait a few years. Many teenagers and adults say they have professional looking images but then it's revealed that they don't. Wait until you are 18 and use that time to really learn how to take a professional image. You'll produce much better work and more professional quality as well.

Popular Photography had an article about posting photos on severl stock photo sites where you will sell them for pennies at the time, but multiple sales can add up. One of the biggest is http://www.istockphoto.com/index.php

Here's the article:

Best bet would be to google it and see what comes up mate but not heard of any offhand. Could be some magazines out there that might be interested depending on the quality of them.
