Stay friends with her, and be thankfull you can talk to her about anything. As far as attraction goes, if you've lost it for her, then you'll never have a good physical relationship with this lady. It sounds to me like you have low self esteem and are afraid to let go of her because of possible codependency issues. Try dating other women. This girl may be a very wonderfull person, but without the attraction, in the long term you'll never be happy.

Well, of course it is possible to lose attraction for a gf! At least you were honest and ended the relationship.
There's really nothing you can (or should) do now... just keep being friends!
Good luck!
P.S: no, i don't think you are an idiot...

Welcome to my world...hehe..but honestly, I don't think you're an idiot, sounds like you're trying to be honest with her and yourself. If you stayed with her, or kept her around, wouldn't you be leading her around in a way? If you're not really physically attracted to her, then it doesn't sound like a healthy relationship.
To be honest again, I don't see how married people can stay together for so long. The attraction can't be there that long! Or so it seems, anyway. It's really up to you, man.

I'm assuming that nothing better came your way, and now you want to get back together. If attraction is that important, then the relationship is not going anywhere.
Leave it be for a while, then see if she feels the same way. Otherwise, notch it up to experience and move on.

of course it's normal to lose your attraction to someone. how many people marry the first person they dated?
just keep being friends. if you develop an attraction again, well, why not give it a second chance? best friends make excellent bf's/gf's

If you felt like it wouldn't work and weren't that attracted to her anymore, then you were probably right to end it. At least you're still friends. Leave it at that for now. If it's meant to be, you'll get back together.

Let it go, if you are such a good friend , let her find a man who has physical attraction for her.
