doesGun Shot Residue come from the barrel when the bullet comes out?
or from the slide when the cartage comes out?

lets suppose,
i took a garbage bag.
and but the gun in, barrel out the front.
then wrapped a rubber band around the bag and barrel.

maybe used some cardboard tomake a funnel for the barrel.

and used the slack in the bag to pull the trigger.

what would happen?
cartarge wouldendup in the bag.
how much gsr would i get on my hand?

It comes out of both.

And your trash bag idea is way too complicated for me to even try to visualize.

Relax. GSR comes off with soap and water. Double wash your hands and just put all your clothes in the washing machine. It really comes off pretty easily. Its not like blood evidence.

Or... Just go to a gun range that day. Then you have a perfectly good reason for GSR all over you. Save, the receit.

If you've ever gone to a gun range, indoors, and stood a bit behind anyone shooting, you'd see the flying gun residue get on hair, clothing, all skin everywhere. There is literally no getting away from it or getting away with it.

Too much effort .... go to the local comic book store and the get the Capt. Avenger Ray-Gun kit .... we cops don't have a test for that yet .
