I believe that sin is basically driven by a feral, beast-like portion of our body; reminants of DNA from our less civilized ancestors. The more enveloped by sin a person becomes, the more it gets out of their control. Without control of our actions and emotions we are, simply, animals...being that we do not act as sophisticated humans should.

As far as animals being sinful... I believe they are capable. They were not created with the same freedom of choice to choose God or not, but I believe the bible still mentions some of them deviating from his will. They are already loyal to God. Even the most obediant children make mistakes, though. =)

No. All men are equal and created in the image of God. Peoples guiltiness is determined by how much knowledge of God they have. The more they have and the more they rebel, the worse it is. We are living in an age where the knowledge of God is everywhere thanks to the printing press and a church on every street corner. Who is going to have excuse for not following God?
