When it happens, they are really cheating on themselves because they just can't find what they are looking for in the person they are with and they may find answers to what they think they may be looking for in someone else.

The people I have heard from on this subject usually say that their partner abandoned the commitment. They justify cheating by saying that the promise they made is no longer valid.
I'm no sexist, but males are more predisposed to be unfaithful partners than females, especially when the couple has kids. A mother wants to keep her relationship secure, but sometimes a man can lose his desire for his wife after she becomes a mother. Not saying it's right. Not even saying that it always happens, but if I am going to honestly examine unfaithfulness, I need to look at what I've seen.
As animals, males get more of a survival advantage by spreading their seed around, but to help a child grow into a well-developed adult human, two full-time parents are better than one. The idea of a stable family is an idea that leads to better human development.
or did you mean cheating at cards?

Most of the time neither one is happy with the other and for that matter, not happy with themselves. They keep jumping from one to another and hope they find their perfect mate...that usually does not happen....each person has to have a awareness of who they are, be self-confident and be happy with themselves, !st, before they can be happy with someone else. Couples who break up or cheat on the other and jump from one relationship to the other, needs to stop and spend time alone discovering who they are and what they want in life and in someone before they can have a true and lasting relationship.

i think that people that cheat have a moral deficiency. as the old saying goes, once a cheat always a cheat. i have never seen a cheat change his or her spots. they just act without consequence to their partner... if you are with a cheat, DUMP HIM. unless you want to end up with some kind of std or worse yet aids!!!

one reason is cause the relationship spark is dieing out 2 cause he or she just like the feeling it gives them 3 cause they just want to 4 cause they are jerks PS: What ever it took to get them then you have to keep the same plans to keep them and they don't cheat cause they are happy
