I ragged on my primer paint onto shingles in a very thin coat. Can I rag on the finish coat too or should I paint that with a brush?

If you like the effect why not. I know that it will take more time, but if you like the way it looks go with it.

ur ? leaves alot to b desired. r they cedar shake shingles or some other kind. when u say ragging r u talking about an actual rag or a mop. if u ragged the primer, there is no reason why u can't rag the finish coat. but i must say i'm not sure exactly what u r talking about . i've discussed this with hubby who is a pro, licensed and insured painter and u have him confused too.
but he say u can do anything u want to with paint.

I believe I would use a paint brush and not a rag UNLESS you were wanting to have a different affect on the walls
