Personally I couldn't. It would be too hard on me emotionally, never knowing whether they will come home safe and sound. Or even in one piece.

Yes. If your relationship is strong enough and you BOTH trust eachother, there's no good reason you can't make it work. There has to be honesty and LOTS of communication from both people.

Military wives have gone through a tremendous tress when their hubby is away. It is all too common for the Cat to play when the Mouse is away, but as a military for those who respect the oath, it is one hard emotional stress to deal with and their is counseling and groups for them to attend while the husband is away.
Be it known that there is no significant answer to solve or resolve a situation like that when all your world is shattered.

good question but it has a dubious answer. yes or no. it all depends. some state have lots of men/women working in the army and they are like everyone else in life..they fall in love, marry, make children etc. etc. if you, yourself have the option of dating someone in the army and someone else not connected with the army...you have an option -- you can exercise that option according to your beliefs, sentiments, etc. each case is judged not by the "responder" but by the asker..hope it helps..it is meant that way...

Yes. My fiance and I are planning to get married in the next couple of months before I leave for the army. It is going to be so hard on us both because I have to go away for 3 months, but I 'm not going to go and fight, but if I had to I would be willing to fight for Australia. I am doing this to help my country and to better our lives.

If a person can handle the idea of him/her going away on TDY'S and relocating often, then I say why not. But!! If ya can't handle that, its best not to even get involved.. Just my opinion.. Good Luck.. :)

i have lived near a military base all my life and on e of the first things parents teach their girls is not to date the military guys. not because it's a dangerous job, but because in general they seem to be no good. and no one wants the "military wife" stigma.

Yep(if I were single) .Infact my husband is in the Navy, but he joined after we got married.

Behind every military man there is a strong woman.
