I don't remember exactly how it went but it's like this:

"Before there was a man to till the soil the earth was a meeting place of intelligent beings"

.... I have searched for this verse throughout the Bible and in many apocraphal texts, but still can't find it. Help!

First let me commend you for searching the Bible. I do hope you were reading the text and not just looking for a verse which is not anywhere from Genesis to Revelation. I cannot say in regards to the apocryphal books but my hunch is that it isn't there either. .

Discernment is so very important. The majority of people that I have known own a Bible but they have never read it. They have ideas about what it says but in most cases don't even come close. For instance the Bible does not say "God helps those who help themselves." I was really amazed to realize that after I read the Bible from cover-to-cover for the first time. Yet many people would swear in court that the statement is from the Bible. It is actually from Benjamin Franklin.

Perhaps your verse is from some historical person as well.

If you are referring to Satan and the fallen angels, they were not cast down until some time after the first Sabbath. If you are referring to animals, no where does the Bible call them intelligent beings.

I can't find anything like that, but I think the comment above that it's not anthing near scripture is uncalled for. Sounds like your just searching and you should continue to study. Never think you have all the answers. Satan would like us to think we know everything. That would prevent us from finding truth.
