one of them is my father the other is my 70 year old grandfather. They've been like this since forever. This time its for real. How can I make my grandfather not have a grudge or make him feel better after the argument. Make him something to eat?

I'm not sure what you're asking so I'll guess.

1. They're both grown men; leave it to them to handle their problems however they see fit.

2. If they've been going at it "since forever," it's unlikely that anything you do or say will change the condition of their relationship.

3. Depending on what they're arguing about, it may not be appropriate for you to get involved.

What are they arguing about, and what exactly are you trying to do? Why do you want to make your grandfather feel better after the argument? More details would be helpful.

make jokes about that, so they would feel ridiculous (and like being children)... I think that's an efficient way to make them realize.
