My freind, Esteban, said you get it from 2 things. (Bad diet, and too much red meat) I need the real facts, how do you get basic cancer & how do you prevent it?

And yes, I know that it can be hereditary, (Knowone in the Suarez family line has it) but i need to know how you get it. (Not the division of cells, i know that part!)

Dear Sim.on 1, If we knew the answer to that question (if I) I would not be here trying to answer your question! Eat right, be informed, spirituality (for some),excercise, listen to your body, ther are so many more I can suggest, but I would need a life time to tell you. But last and not least, take the best care of your body you know how to,know what your genes consist of, and remember your body is a temple--take good care of it!

Cancer has a chance to develop in anyone, but certain conditions improve the chances of it happening. A cancer cell is a cell that has been altered in some way to divide continously. This alteration can come from many things, like radiation. Radiation can alter the DNA in the cell when it hits it, thus altering the cell's functions. The only radiation you can prevent getting to you is UV, though, and that's done by not lying in the sun too much. Oh, and I suppose cosmic radiation from high-altitude flight is preventable too. Anyway, apart from that cancer just has a chance of developing if your body is not in good shape. I would say this could be because of the faulty division of cells, but I'm not sure on this. Wikipedia would have more answers.

It is not hereditary, nor is it a real disease in the technical terms of things. It is a normal body function that is out of control. It is a metabolic dietary disorder brought on due to chronic inflammation or the result of an injury. Inadequate drainage of the waste products of metabolism causes the body fluids to become toxic and as a result, the cells starve for oxygen. Rather than die, some will shift their metabolism away from primarily oxygen and will begin to burn sugars resulting in a fermantation process similar to a compost pile. Dr. Otto Warburg was awarded the 1931 Nobel Prize in Physiology (Medicine) for discovering the mechanism. If you keep your colon free of accumulated debris, remove toxins via sweating in saunas, avoiding excess red meat and carbohydrates you will raise your pH to a point where no disease can exist. Cancer is curable but not by the way it is done in this country. They have made a profitable business out of it and they are not about to put an end to it. See Dr. Warburg's speech to the Nobel laureats that he made in 1966.

Well my friend, lots of stuff cause cancer. There are just too many types.
First, if you don't want cancer. Don't smoke. Avoid second hand smoke.
Second, eat a healthy diet with lots of fibre. Get excercise. Learn to deal with stress well. Take a general philosophy of moderation in terms of food types.
Also, if you have family history, get proper regular check ups. Especially once you pass 40. This won't prevent cancer but will prevent you from dying from it, or at least lessen the risk
Avoid sunburns. Skin cancer. Wear sunscreen.
There is no proof of this, but I'm leery of new sugur substitutes. I'd rather deal with the devil I know in moderation; i.e., eat a bit of sugar not too much. Avoid drinking too much coffee.

From what I understand first of all is that everyone is born with cancer cells that can be "woken up" or "triggered" and turn into cancer. But other factors are of course your lifestyle, eating habits, and genetics. I don't know if you can really pinpoint one exact thing to blame cancer on though.

How a cancer starts depends on the type of cancer.
Sometimes there's a cause you can point to, like smoking. Sometimes, it just happens.
Sometimes there's a family history, sometimes not.
Again, it depends on the cancer.

Genetics and poor nutrition. Stay away from sugar, flour, dairy and transfats (like the McRib sandwhich). Eat whole foods and organic when possible. You are what you eat and your cells are what makes up your physical body. Treat your cells well and you should be okay.
