Yes we can draw lessons from the deluge in Noah's day...
God can save humans when the war of Armageddon comes.
Jesus mentioned that "Just like the days of Noah....."
Also tells us that what ever our Creator says he means.
Also mercy, kindness, justice. love, power, wisdom was demonstrated. I am happy you used the word DELUGE instead of flood.
Peace.....

Absolutely. The people in Noah's time didn't listen to Noah when he told them a deluge would come and they had to join him in the Ark. Because of their ignorance, they all perished, except for Noah and his family who listened to God. Nowadays, we must also listen to God, lest we should perish when His day arrives. The Bible teaches us everything we need to know about God.

Yes we can. The next time you see a rainbow, ask yourself -- is this a message from god to remind us of that mass genocide purportedly committed by him, or is it the sun's light interacting with water molecules? According to the Bible, every time it stops raining it is because the windows of the firmament (heaven) have been shut again. Since any fool could tell you rain doesn't come "out of windows" from the "rivers of heaven," the lesson I have drawn is not to believe in fairy tales. You are free to draw the opposite conclusion if you wish. That's why we live in a free country. In a theocracy, a system of governance that is ruled by religion, you could be killed for drawing the "incorrect" conclusion. Now aren't you glad we don't live in a theocracy?

I must say that I do not believe the story of Noah and a flood that coverd the world.

Yes - Noah's obedience to God even when he did not understand what God was asking him to do. Build and ark and collect the animals and your family before it rains????
It is often hard for me to be faithful and obedient when I don't understand what He's doing.

Well, God warned the people. They would not listen. When judgment finally came, it was without warning, and it was total.
The people in Noah's day were laughing and scoffing, and making fun of God. What are people doing today? I believe there is a judgment coming. We will not see it until it is here and there is nothing we can do.

The Flood seems to be a myth to me and a few others. However, the lesson I would take from it is that God can be really mean if his plan doesn't work out.
A very depressing story, IMHO.
