the most original way is something that is special to your relationship.

Don't do it at home. A woman is going to remember the way she was proposed to for the rest of her life! Find a way to make it so that it's a good story to tell the grandkids. You don't want to hear her say to the youngsters, "Yeah, your grandpa and me were eating cereal and he said I should look for the prize in the box. And there was the ring. I spilled the milk all over the floor trying to hug him." It should be fairy tale romantic, not just "cute"

I've never been married but I've had a few proposals from former boyfriends. The first one asked me on my couch while watching a movie. The second one chucked the ring at me during a fight and said "there, now shut up already!" and the third came over to me while I was on the computer and presented the ring on one knee saying "I'll marry you if you buy me some new dvd's"
Clearly these are NOT the way to go, seeing as how I didn't marry any of them. Make it special and memorable.

Anything someone else suggest will not be original to you. It really doesn't matter if it is original. It should be memorable to the both of you. The most romantic proposal I've heard of was when friend took his girl to the Empire State Building and gave her a rose and a poem on every floor as the elevator went up. When they reached the top he got down on one knee and told her that if he could he would give her the whole world but hoped that she would accept the ring and all his love instead.

With so many people trying to find new and original ways to propose, the old fashioned way seems to be the least often used approach. Just spend quality time with her (him) and when things are at their most peaceful, POP IT.

I know this is a bit silly but, it's where ever you feel is the most
comfortable place that you want to look back on and say. This is
where I proposed to your mom. My husband this is silly he proposed to me at Walmart in the luggage aile where we met on
June 1st of this year. Not the most romantic place but, gee the thought that counts. My husband is wonderful to me treats me like
a queen. He proposed to me on June 11th 2006. This year.
Good Luck in all you do. Bye Bye!!!

Solidarno,
Pop the question when she would least expect it. Only you would know when and where. Try to make it a complete surprize. You don't want someone else telling you the way to do this. After all this is the most special event of your life, don't allow someone else's idea lead your own thoughts.

oooooooo! i'm good at this. ok, so u should either do it at a baseball game, that's definetly romantic. like at one of those Nationals, or ur state's teams games. then ask the people there if u can announce something on that big screen, then u say it to her. how sweet! or if ur not a fan of baseball, u could go on a hike or something and then when u reach ur end point, get on ur knees then propose. i wish i could see that!

I can't really tell you a good place or a unique way to propose but i can definitely tell wehre not to do it.
My fiance did it in the kitchen of our tiny appartment, it wasn't romantic at all. We were heading out into town and when i cam into the kitchen he was on his knee holding the ring up and asked me:"Will you marry me?" Of course i said yes and i was so happy but like i said, not romantic at all....

make it your own into your own style. take different ideas and put them all together.

Like something you know she loves to do if she loves to go horseback riding you take her horseback riding and have a picnic or some thing already set up so when you ride to the spot you can have a meal and then propose. take anything she likes and put it into it.

if you both like to do something together make it into a proposal.

if your couple thing is ice skating take her ice skating and slide the ring into her skate "RIGHT BEFORE" she puts it on.

Have the ring put in the desert and a fancy dinner - have the waiter deliver it, when she chugs on it, you can save her by applying the Heimlich manoeuvre and save her life. (I saw this on a TV show, it was hilarious) - just joking of course - good luck in your decision - what a luck girl to get such a caring guy..
