satan is a fallen angel. Before he ruled hell he was an angel in Heaven. He wanted to rule Heaven rather than have God do is so he was cast out of Heaven along with a few other angels who supported satan.

Ezekiel 28 14-15 I ordained and anointed you as the mighty angelic guardian. You had access to the holy mountain of God and walked among the stones of fire. You were blameless in all you did from the day you were created until the day evil was found in you.

In Ezekiel and Isaiah, I forget exactly where. Also in Job chapter 1. The passages in Ezekiel and Isaiah I think have double meanings, both referring to satan and the king of Tyre. In Revelation it refers to satan as the serpent of old and the dragon. It also talks about him decieving a third of the angels in Heaven. www.equip.org

Isaiah 14:12, I think. I am not absolutely certain, but I think this is the place.
"How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!"
If you read the whole chapter you will get a better idea of the context.

Somewhere...check Revelation...He's also mentioned in the Book of Job as wandering and patrolling the Earth....It's weird how Santa has the same lettering...St. Nick...dressed in red...commercialism taking over Christmas and all that.
Anyway Satan is about imposing the law and Christ is about freeing us from it with love..Hard to reconcile how we need to be weak in the flesh to be strong in love..St. Paul looks at that in his letters. .well worth reading..
But in reality were prisoners of the law and all the Earth sin ...we sin as we dream...we're totally in the grip of sin and so we pay the price.....Why? Because we need to know the truth of our wretchedness but we also need to know that love is the only way out....Out...of everything...every fight...every desire..every feeling and judgement..Reach for the ladder in you mind and try climbing up jacobs steps to a higher place on the emotional spectrum when the pressure is on...and pray for me cause I messed up again today.....down..down..down the slippery snake all the way to hell again
