you can all brown sugar is, is granulated sugar with malpe syrup.

just make sure that you use regular sugar to subsitute.

Maybe, but it would taste Terrible, Its like you can't make Chocolate Chip Cookies with Chocolate Chips, then they'll just be Sugar cookies.

Brown sugar is used to make cookies moist and gives it the color. Brown sugar is grandulated sugar with molassess. I would think the cookies wouldnt be moist and wouldnt taste very good. Personally I wouldnt waste the chocolate chips on it.

why don't you make a drop sugar cookie with chocolate chips therfore completly omitting the need for brown suger and still ending up with a good cookie

Yes, you can but you would have to substitute more white sugar. They will be more crisp as opposed to chewy and the flavor will be a little different.
