Ladies perspective needed: If you see a woman at a store what's the best way to get her phone number?

...forget it, okay, if she even looks interested try asking her out on a date. If she's interested then you'll get her phone number.

I would slowly approach her and say "Hello, I was shopping over there and noticed how beautiful you looked today. I was wondering if perhaps I could get your phone number so I could call you sometime"? Good luck - But pay attention to signals. Try to smile at her from a distance and see how she reacts - if positive approach her and say something like what a put - remember to not be puchy! :)

If she's shopping for clothes, go up to her and tell her that not many people could pull off whatever she's looking at, but she would be just gorgeous in it. Be sincere, not cheesy. Then if she isn't creeped out, chat her up and then ask for her #.

Or, go up to her and ask her who she's shopping for...you'll be able to pick up on whether or not she wants to have a conversation.

Or pick something out and ask her opinion on buying it for your mom or sister.

Oh and Jessie's suggestion is awful; do not EVER criticise or even comment on what a woman chooses to eat.

honestly, that's a hard thing to do.
strike up a conversation first, and don't say "wow, you're hot, do you have a boyfriend?" try to make her laugh.
if you're at a grocery store , say something like "you don't REALLY want cap'n crunch do you? lucky charms are way better" with a little wink or smile. if she continues the conversation, and doesn't seem uncomfortable, introduce yourself. if her body language seems positive, and she's making eye contact and smiling, then go for the number. if she seems like she's hesitant, she's not interested.

this has nothing to do with hair, but a good place to go to ask the question really....just walk up and say hello to start. confidence in a man is a much better way to get any where with a woman. how do men know that this won't work, if they don't try it?

um... thats hard. Walk up to her and say, "Hi, I'm _____." If she says hi back, and doesnt show that she's completely uninterested, ask her out on a date. Depending on what kinda girl she is, she might like that you're confident, or might not. If you're not confident though, you wont even have a chance... so go for it and if it doesnt work oh well, you'll never see her again, and you'll have a funny story to tell...

Not in a store you don't. We ladies don't like to be hassled by stalkers when we're doing our shopping. We need to have our concentrations at the max.
I'd advise you to catch us at some other occasions.

not an answer, or a lady, but i know what you mean. how can you approach an attractive woman in any setting? the only time you can approach someone without coming off as creepy, is at a sleezy bar.

unless you're a movie star, then you can say "come have sex with me" and its just "charming."

lol. act like your looking for something in the Makeup section, electronic section, (wherever you see the lady) for your sister or your mom, like a present for your sister's birthday? ask the girl her opinion, that'll at least start a conversation. @ a gas station i cant think of anything, be creative :)
