Increase your water intake. For every pound you weigh drink at least that many ounces of water. Stay away from sugar, flour, dairy, transfat and fastfood, especially the McRib from McDonalds.
Get at least 45 minutes per day of excercise. If you have never excersised, start with 15-20 minutes per day for the first week, then increase it.

I don't know if you've ever watched The Biggest Loser, well anyway some of those people on their have lost way more than 13 pounds without starving or taking diet pills, instead they do this little thing called eating Subway and exercising.

Yes.
I was 170 and I am 160 now in a month. All I did was regulate my diet.
I used to eat irregularly - especially small snacks like from vending machines at work or those cookies and chips after coming from work..at home. I stopped those 'extra' foods.
I started having breakfast regularly - dring 8 glasses of water, stopped caffeine or soda, and reduced portion of food at each sitting. Instead, I ate more number of times but smaller portions.
I started a brisk morning walk but no gym or workout. Also I am logging what I eat - keeping a food journal of any food I eat during the day. Logging the food daily keeps you reminded that you are not overeating.
It has worked for me and I am sure it will work for you.
Best of luck.

Always love questions like this... Americans only want results. They forget about what it takes to get them. People will tell you that it's not their fault, that they were born that way etc., etc., etc.. We made even the fatest of slugs drop to a normal weight in boot camp. The answer is W-O-R-K and D-I-E-T!!! Burn more calories than you take in.
