You don't have to quit staightening you hair. Just go to your local beauty store and pick up a few hot oil treatments. Use them once a week. They will reverse any damage and add the shine back to your hair. Good Luck

Stop straightening your hair. You've done a lot of damage to it by straightening it so often.

You need a shampoo and conditioner that is specially formulated to treat dry & damaged hair. And no, I'm not talking about some $5 bottle of Pantene. You get what you pay for. And don't get those 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner mixes. Those are worthless. Also, get a deep conditioner to use once or twice a week. After your shower, while your hair is still damp, use spritz a tonic on your hair and comb even through. Biolage makes a great daily leave-in tonic that moiterizes the hair. Leave all other things out...no straightening, no blow-drying, no hairspray or gels...your hair is damaged and those contribute to that. Your damaged hair will most likely need to grow out, but in the meantime, this will begin to get your hair back to a healthy state. Once it's healthy, you can start implementing styling products....but NEVER use them on a frequent basis or you'll be right back where you are now.

I agree with all of the advice given about conditioning and using straighteners less frequently but also, when you do use them, use a protective spray designed for the purpose, first. They are available from anywher that sells styling products and you don't need an expensive one but the best one I've ever tried is Mark Hill.

Get something called "Clairol Condition" It's a thick cream that you rub into your wet hair, then you put a plastic bag on your head and let it sit for a half hour. When you wash it out you'll be surprised how soft your hair will feel. Use it once a month or every two weeks if you're hair is really fried.

stop straightening it SO much and let it heal some of the damage. you might try a hot oil treatment or something like that but i find they don't work very well. i have thick and coarse hair that i sometimes straighten and it has the tendency to get brittle and dry as well. give it a breather and see how it improves.

Dont straighten it so much as your causing heat damage to your hair.
Get an intensive conditioner for your hair and instead of using straighteners try out some jumbo sized rollers in damp hair with some setting lotion. should also give you desired effect without causing further damage to your hair.

use a 'leave-in' conditioner, maybe one that you can spray on your hair...concentrate on using this mostly on the ends of the hair (where it gets the most damage). use a deep moisturizing conditioner once a week, leaving it in your hair for about 10 min. (you could help by putting a plastic cap on your head while you have the conditioner on as well)!

also, use a moose on your hair to protect it from the heat and help hold the style as well.

hope this helps...

There is a kind of mousse out.....My friend uses it so I am not exactly sure what brand it is.....But it is specificly designed for People who straighten their hair to have it not dry out. My friend just puts it through her hair after straightning.....and there is no friz or dryness. I would check Wal-mart or Target for it.
