Did you ever saw that show "Blind Date"? You can end up meeting up with someone that you would hate! Plus, its a billion times safer to have a date with somebody you actually know.

Well, it might depend on how well you know or trust the person or persons setting this up. Even if they are well intentioned though, it still could be a gross mismatch. But then, just look at it as a humorous experience. what do you have to loose?

Make backup plans just in case the date turns out crappy.
Have money in your pocket to pay for your own ride home if necessary & don't hesitate to use it if you need to. Or call a friend.'
