I like this girl, should i risk our friendship?

Theres this one girl i go to school with and we are good friends. I like her alot but im not really sure if she likes me. Sometimes it seems like she likes me but im not sure if she does or not. I want to tell her i like her but im not sure if i want to risk our friendship. What should i do? We are planning on going to a movie soon and im thinking of making a move on her(hold hands) but im afraid she wont want to and it will be awkward. Someone please help me with my problems. thank you

Try to make a discrete move just to show her your interest. Holding her hand gently is a good idea, because it is safe.

If she likes you, you will probably be able to tell from her reaction. If she responds accordingly, she likes you. If she is too shy to do anything, but doesn't tell you off, she probably likes you and needs some time to respond to a move (it's reasonable, as you are good friends, as you say)

The most important thing is that even if she doesn't like you in a romantic way, this would not jeopardise your friendship, as holding one's hand is not a good enough reason to lose a good friend. I assume she is a reasonable person.

i get how you feel, i think you should just stay friends i've had that thing happen where you think a really good (opposite sex) likes you but you don't wanna ruin everything. I went out with a really close friend and you know what happened? we broke up and now we don't even talk. I liked it way better when we were just friends. Just remember a teen relationship 99% of the time usually ends somehow trust me and take my advice

I suggest you give hints or signs to let her know that you like her and if she responds to any of them thats when you take it a step further, but dont move in too quickly otherwise you may spoil a perfectly good friendship.
