Sometimes when I give answers to people who have diseases like yours I get a violation for spam or advertisement. Needless to say I use the site I am going to give you to not only heal up your problem but to keep you healthy forever. Go to herbdoc.com. There is a colon cleanse and bowel detox treatment there that is relatively cheap compared to drugs that don't do anything or surgeries that screw up your system even more. Good fortune to you now and always.

I have had irritable bowl for years. It is always worse when I am stressed out. There is medication for this and you should speak to your MD. If you have more constipation than diarrhea, you can take Zelnorm. I have the opposite and since I have been on a low dose of amitryptyine I have not had any diarrhea.

Changing what you eat may help. Rice, banana, apple, meats, potatoes, and most veggies are fine. Too much fruit may increase diarrhea. Adding fiber can help with both diarrhea and constipation. Sometimes you need to take a fiber supplement like Benefiber or Metamucil. You may have to try more than one to see what works for you. Stay away from laxatives. Read labels because there is laxatives in our food--sorbital, mannitol, xylitol, lactitol, olestra, salatrim-for a few.

When you are lactose intolerant, you do not handle milk products well. You can try the products for this as there are several and lactose-free milk products. Some people can tolerate some milk products--like yogurt, cheese and cooked dairy products. You will have to try these gradually to see which you can tolerate.

Irritable Bowel is not life threatening but it can make life miserable.

You can get further information but looking up both of your problems on the net. Good luck!

I hope you are seeing a specialist for your condition. There is barely any distinction between Crohn's diseas and irritable bowel and ulcerative colitis. I am posting a link. There is a lot of information. There are support groups. Other sufferers can be an excellent source of information and coping strategies.

your lactose intolerance is because our milk and milk products are pasteurized- thus killing off the beneficial organisms that help us to digest it- you should take enzymes when you eat and acidolphus daily to put the healthy stuff back into your colon- we are taught to eat the S.A.D. standard american diet or as most will tell you- the sad american diet- eat more live foods (uncooked veggies and fruits) watch the nuts and meats- do not eat anything with MSG in it (monosodium glutimate) and try to avoid artificial anything- yes- change your whole diet- shop at health food stores or buy organic foods( they have less or no other additives in them) Annie's mac and cheese is great- and ck out the ingredients- cheese milk noodles etc .. it's up to you - but if you eat MC D's then You are the one who will pay for it in the end.....literally!
