There is a company called AIR research I think, the guy is what has been called an "aviation archeologist" and likely has copies of your fathers incident. I contracted with him to help research my great uncles crash which was in 1923 and he found paperwork on it!

Contact the National Transportation Safety Board (web address below). They should have archive records of all aircraft crashes in the USA. Give them as many details as possible and if they are anything like the Air Accident Investigation Branch in the UK, then they will help you. Good luck.

Gee, I am so sorry to know that. I would suggest finding out the local news paper in the vicinity of the accident. They should have an archive department you could request a copy of the story of the accident. I am sure there must be coverage of such a tragedy. Good luck!

No, the only internet site that I could find containing this name is:
http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/read/HERNDON/2004-04/1080939874
and it is a question, not really an answer, it may even be your own question, I don't know. Sorry. I hope you are able to find out more information.

My sincere condolences.
For any information pertaining air incidents; look at the site of NTSB and there look for records by date, aircraft's tail number, names of persons involved in that situation
Hope that it served to find out what happened in that day

I'm so sorry that happened. I would think they would give you information as soon as possible, maybe you could call FAA (http://www.faa.gov/), I'm pretty sure that they might have information. I'm pretty sure that the Pennsylvania government could help too, they would probably be the most likely to have any information considering that. I hope I was able to help, and again I feel so sorry that that happened to you.

Contact the court house in the county that he died in. They should have the Death Cert.
You can get the Coroners name from that & the Coroners Office should have all the info.

One of the best answers posted came from “citation X.” I looked into this myself but I’m not sure if it is the same company that he was referring to (but I’m pretty sure it is.) The name of the company is AAIR Aviation Archaeological Investigation & Research. Its web address is: http://www.aviationarchaeology.com/src/services.htm

I hope that this works and I’m sorry to hear of your father’s untimely death.

Check with the NTSB. They track that kind of stuff.
