Do you think this is weird - the leader of this group I to to prayed?

for God to put angels around me to protect me; and by golly, I
quit this real bad habit I had. It's been a month now!!!!

I have been rescued from a field of thorns,
brought back being carried in Jesus's arms,
so many dreadful things could have came to be,
however I believe God has a better purpose for me.

The rocks at the bottom are meant to cause pain,
Every step forward is taken with a strain,
In truth the grass is actually greener on this side,
You can't hide from Jesus and you may as well not try.

Jesus has forgiven me for my sinful ways,
He comforts me in all my troubled days,
He cas carried me out from the shadows of darkness,
To stand in his light and be his witness.

It has never been said that prayer does not have an effect on the human brain. If you truly have faith in your beliefs then prayer is good in situations like these when you are trying to stop a bad habit or asking for strength to accomplish a task. Although the human brain is very fragile it is at the same time very powerful and is capable of many amazing things.

The last time I seriously prayer for protection two years ago, two Spirits were basically protecting the ones I prays for, my son, his mother, and me. I believe one is still here, she wakes me when my son is in need, she spoke to me once out loud, very beautiful voice, and my first thought was she's an Angel, they are completely white and glowing, she gave my son's mother a very nice lower back rub. she woke me up again about three weeks ago when my son was sick, I want to see her again so I can ask her question, she was kinda communicating for about seven months, in my sleep I said go away leave me alone, that's when she stop communicating. Now I want to see her again, she is very comforting, Angel or Spirit guide.

i so dont think thats weird...i believe that they are angels that put up a hedge of protection over you, especially when you pray that they will. it sounds like GOD is rly doing a great work in your life...just hold on to your relationship with HIM, because its rly important that you stay close... i think He's saved you from this habit, because He's building your testiomony, so you should get out there and tell ppl what He's done for you, because it could change someone's life forever...

It's because you have found favor with God. Angels do exist to protect you from evil around you. Sent by God , as messengers or helpers to mankind , they are fulfilling God's purpose He created them for. When people pray to God for you , He will answer if it is in His will.
