Guru is the giver of knowledge and wisdom.
Dwara is the main doorway, the front entry point with doors.
Through the gurudwara you enter the precinct where you find the guru. Once you enter there you are within an ace of guru who is the repository of knowledge and wisdom and who can show you the path to righteousness and salvation.
