The best "boxer" is Pretty Boy Floyd Mayweather, Undefeated and already attained the status of champion in 4 different weight classes, more to come stay tuned. I assumed you meant the "world" as in guys that are still fighting and still alive. If that was wrong, my apologies.

Ice Ice (let me guess Your Vote for Greatest Rap Artist Ever would go to Vanilla??)

The question states "the world's best" which should lead one to believe a fighter who is currently fighting. But then you get critical and say PBF doesn't match up to the greats like Sanchez, Leonard, Chavez etc The question isn't asking for comparison to legends.

Now here is the tricky part why do you compare PBF to legends from boxing history, then turn around and pick PacMan. Do you mean to say that PacMan is on par with all those guys you mentioned?? It sure looks that way to me. PacMan is one of my favorites but not that great. I noticed that all you do is go around trying to put others opinions down. But its only a sign of your own inability to give props to your choices or your opinions that leads you to chastise others who don't share your views.

An opinion is unique to each person, it can't be judged as "right" or "wrong". If I asked, What's the best tasting ice cream? I'd get 100s of answers but none are wrong BUT, ALL ARE RIGHT to that person.

no one with any actual know-how and historic information places the two on the fabulous. Marciano spent too little time on the fabulous, and beat up previous-their-best HWs (and an extremely shot Louis). lots of Ali's best grew to become into taken faraway from him. in case you limit your "best" to HWs, then Louis is obviously first, in keeping with time and dominance on the fabulous. in case you improve it to all boxers, then Robinson is the #one million. (There are people who declare that Ali or Marciano are #one million who can't even SPELL Robinson, it style of feels...)

I'd say basing it on their overall technical skills/boxing talent (not pucher but like your question asked "boxer") today, my pick is WBA lightweight champion Juan "Baby Bull" Diaz (31-0 w15KO).

Boxing writers describe the young champion's skill in the following ways, "Diaz..in the final round landing a half dozen different blazing four and five-punch combinations that eventually hurt and rocked the challenger, Cotto." Or, "scalding left hooks and laser-like right hands landed against Suico" and "Diaz was ceaseless with return fire and eventually he began grinding down the challenger Lorcy, with brutal left hooks to the liver and ribs." Also, "Diaz was by far the quicker fighter down the stretch and landed a couple of seven-shot volleys to the head of Sim."

Diaz won the Lightweight title when he was only 20yrs old, now he is 23 and still fighting all the ranked challengers in his division. This guy defended his title 3 times in 2004, twice in 2005 and 3 times in 2006.. Since becoming champion in July 2004, Diaz resume boasts the following,

-Fernando Angulo (18-3 w12KO ranked #3 by WBA) hadn't lost a fight at 135 since 2002, 13 straight wins.
-Randy Suico (24-2 w22KO, ranked #7 WBC and #10 WBA), Diaz was the first man to knock this guy out in 26 professional fights.
-Jose Miguel Cotto (ranked #6 by IBF and #3 WBA).
-Billy Irwin (42-4 w35KO ranked #9 by the WBA att of fight) this was the first time in his almost 50 fight career that Irwin was stopped by TKO(KO).
-Julien Lorcy former WBA Lightweight Champ (56-3 w39KO ranked #4 WBC att of fight).
-Lakva Sim who was the WBA Lightweight Champ and Former WBA Super Featherweight Champ (20-3 w18KO fell to WBA #2 rank after loss)

Pound for Pound I'd have to say Floyd Mayweather. Oh I forgot Lil Leroy down there in Bridge City. He weights 147 pounds boy can he fight. The boy has the quickest hands in the business. Stole my wallet Saturday night. That boy is fast.

Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao is the best boxer right now. He doesn't avoid anybody and fights the best of the best. He's also the most exciting to watch.

An unusual pick. I'll take the Mexican Bantamweight Rafael Marquez.
